I remember meeting the Doctor for the first time; he had such strange clothes made from leather and an accent one didn’t often head around the Royal Courts of France. With him he had two companions, a young woman named Rose who seemed very fond of him, and a young man called Mickey who seemed very fond of Rose. I myself found the Doctor to be rather interesting, the way he acted, spoke, the knowledge he had, it was nothing like I had ever seen before and I was drawn to him. The nightmares I’d remembered from my youth seemed to slip away when he was in my company.
But with the Doctor came the monsters, one’s made of cogs and wheels that turned and clicked. They were waiting for me, coming in and out of my life and many different points, the Doctor always there to save and help me should I need his assistance. At the final moment the Doctor risked everything to save my life and the live of those in the King’s Court.
I was indebted to him, how could you pay someone back the life they had saved for you? It was an impossible task. He found a way home, a way back to his companions and he promised to show me the stars. I chose one, packed my bag and waited for him.
He came.
Mickey left out company and the three of us that were left travelled the whole of time and space together. I went as a passenger, an observer so to speak, but I found myself to be a voice of reason in so many situations and when it was my time to go home…there was no home to go to.
We arrived back at an improper date and things had changed and my Lord and King was long since dead. I wanted to go back, to be with my King but the Doctor said it was something we could not allow, I could not go back and change a line of events I was part of. So I stayed with the Doctor and Rose, between them they showed me a great many things and taught me how to survive in a world filled with wonders.
The three of us were great friends and as time went on I began to realise that the feelings between Rose and the Doctor ran deeper than friendship, even if they did not see it themselves. It was because of me that things happened between them, something I began to regret for many a year for reasons I will tell.
We were trapped upon a station that had been converted into nothing but game shows and reality TV, or so I was informed, and we became part of it. Then came the Dalek’s, the threat to so many people, the possible destruction of Earth. The Doctor tried to send myself and Rose away but I slipped out of the TARDIS just before it happened. I would stay and help; I would fight the best I could. They came, they destroyed and then I remember darkness.
There was something out there in the darkness, something that I didn’t like. Death had come for me and there was no warmth, no bright light, just blackness. I remember gasping for breath, eyes wide and everything rushed back to me, I was alive. But how? I heard the engines of the TARDIS and they left me behind. Left me alone.
It was weeks before my distress signal was picked up and I was returned to Earth in a time I did not know. I watched the world around me grow and change, aliens came and I looked out for the Doctor and Rose but there was no sign. As the years turned to decades I began to realise I was not aging but I did not understand why.
Even on my 150th birthday I still had not aged a day since that moment on the satellite.
As the Earth evolved I began to find myself a part of it, working for a company who worked to save the Earth and keep its people safe, a company who made a council which I sat upon. The council made alliances with other worlds, other solar systems and I was part of it and over the years I was promoted of sorts, ending with me as the speaker of the council itself.
This character is an AU version from my own creation as such.
